Why Spay or Neuter Your Cat?
Millions of cats enter shelters every year - and most of those entries are preventable. Spaying or neutering your cat protects their health, improves their behavior, and directly reduces the number of cats without homes. It's a one-time procedure with a lifetime of impact. If cost or access is a barrier, check out the links below.
What is TNR?
TNR stands for Trap-Neuter-Return - a humane, proven approach to managing feral and free-roaming cat populations. Cats are humanely trapped, spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and returned to their outdoor home.
People sometimes ask: why return them at all? Because feral cats aren't suited for indoor life. They've had little to no human socialization — a home would be more stressful than the streets. Returning them, now sterilized and vaccinated, is the kindest and most effective outcome. Over time, TNR reduces colony sizes and improves community cat health without the cycle of endless removal and replacement.
