Prior year's Gulf-area hurricanes taught us many hard lessons, but one of the clearest was that pets left behind in a disaster don't fare well. With a little planning, your extended family can be prepared for almost anything! There are thousands of motels, hotels and inns across the U.S. that accept guests with pets. Most hotels set their own policies, so it is important to call ahead and ask if pets are permitted
